Ripping lo-fidelity hardcore, with pleasantly annoying vocals, perfect riffs, and everything I wish i’d see in jersey bands. Just a perfect example of modern hardcore that deserves to be emulated or better yet, inspire to make original music.
CCTV-Rehearsal Live Tape
new wave mixed with fast punk stuff and positivly stellar musicianship, the live recordings are my favorites. Just another eample of n.w.i. killin it
no-wave/70s punk kinda punk vibe with real up and down kinda vocals from Kutztown, Pennsyvania. Heavily affected guitar with dual drummer percussion elements
Blank spell-4 Track Demo
Gothy hardcore from Philly. Lots of those satisfying pogo beats, and that “every member of the band has a chourus pedal” kinda sensibility, with catchy riffs and energy for days.
from glasgow! aggresive guitars with XBXRX/sonic youth style “sheets of sound”, melodic bass and mysterious echo-y vocals. Also the bassist, helena celles solo work is an excelent display of beautifully “wrong” sounding tape loops
Uranium club-all them naturals
killer dual guitar work, just the right amount of humour. Flashier production than the human exploration LP for better but not nessesarily worse. Kinda what I’d imagine a mix of devo and thin lizzy sounding like with heaps of twang thrown in for good measure
heavy d-beat-y hardcore from Philadelphia. Rife with pummeling bass, screeching feedback and circular riffage.
seething yet dynamic sludge from north jersey FFO-thou
